There are two ways to have an ascii text version of your resume.

• Upload your resume as a text file from a word processor
• Type your resume directly online using an online editor such as Emacs, ed, or vi

Upload your resume

1. Save your resume in your favorite word processor, changing the file type to be "Text Only." Name it resume.txt (or similar), and save it to a floppy disk.
2. Upload your resume to the main directory of your eden account, using the FTP software of computer lab computers.
3. Once uploaded, open the file in your favorite editor (Emacs, etc). If you are unfamiliar with any of the online editors, there is documentation at the computer labs for Emacs.
4. Make any necessary edits, since the word processor text file conversions are not necessarily perfect.
